The Atlanta Child Murders happened in between 1979 and 1981, wherein 30 African-Americans aged 9-28 were either killed or declared missing, which turned into the Atlanta Child Murders case. In early 80s, the bodies of the victims were found in vacant buildings, wooded lots and the Chattahooche River.
By February 27, 1982, Wayne Williams was found guilty on two counts of murder and was sentenced to two consecutive life terms. Wayne Bertram Williams has been connected to at least 12 other murders since.
