Packers’ Collins leaves game on stretcher
The Packers lost All-Pro safety Nick Collins to what appeared to be a head/neck injury during the fourth quarter Sunday against the Panthers.Collins was injured trying to make a tackle on Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart. After Collins dove toward Stewart’s legs, his helmet hit Stewart’s hip area and his neck bent awkwardly. He landed face-down on the turf. Collins was taken off the field on a stretcher, but as he was being carried off he gave a slight wave to the crowd with his right hand.
