Google's Background Search Image Looks Like Bing

Remember that catchy user-generated Microsoft jingle, "Bing Goes the Internet?" Well, there may be more than a little truth to that sentiment. Google has been feeling some heat in the search space thanks to Bing and has begun adjusting certain aspects of its service accordingly. The latest such change is the addition of art to its stark-white homepage.

Now don't get us wrong, Google is still content to maintain its trademark rabbit-in-a-snowstorm as the default background. But should users be in the mood for something a little more, shall we say, Bingy, the company is allowing people to upload their own photo as the Google homepage.

Users can pull photos from their computer, from a Picasa Web Album, or from Picasa's Public Gallery. Once activated, users will see a prompt in the lower left-hand corner of the search start page. The feature is still be rolled out.
