Lala Vasquez: Carmelo Anthony Wife

TV personality LaLa Vasquez is Carmelo Anthony’s wife, well in a few hours she will be anyway. Yep the two are set to tie the knot any minute now in New York City. There is some good stuff to learn about this smoking hot former MTV VJ which includes some pictures and a video too.

The Brooklyn born Alani “La La” Vazquez is the wife or about to be of Carmelo Anthony, you know the basketball player. The couple who have a three year old son Kiyan Carmelo Anthony and have been engaged since 2004 which means they have been together for quite awhile.

In terms of a biography for LaLa well there is not too much we know about her. Although she is BFFs with Kim Kardashina who tweets about LaLa all the time, especially when LaLa married Carmelo so I’m not quite sure how we don’t know more about her. Anyway the New York girl has had a passion for music since she was a child. She got her big break working at a radio station in Atlanta alongside Ludacris who at the time was known as Chris Lova Lova on a show called Future Flavas. After working on the show for awhile she decided to go to college and headed to Howard University. During her college years Vasquez worked as a DJ.
In 1999 she was noticed by MTV where she ended up as a co-host for Direct Effect and Total Request Live. This led to other hosting duties which include reunion specials for Flavor of Love, I Love New York, Real Chance of Love, For The Love of Ray J and Flavor of Love Charm School. If you couldn’t tell she has the hosting thing done really good.
LaLa is more than just a talented host she has also starred on the big screen in films like You Got Served, Two Can Play That Game and Urban Massacre. Here is an interesting little fact Vasquez appeared on Sex and The City. She played a MTV VJ who interviewed Jason Lewis, a.k.a. Smith Jared in the Post It Note episode.
