Big 12 Basketball Tournament 2011 Bracket Update: Oklahoma Downs Baylor, 87-64

big 12 basketball tournament
Without Perry Jones III around, Baylor never stood much of a chance against Oklahoma, falling 84-67. in the opening round of the 2011 Big 12 Tournament. Cade Davis led the Sooners with 24 points and four rebounds in a game that was never really in question.
Oklahoma gets archrival Texas tomorrow at 7 pm EST in the quarterfinals. The Longhorns dominated both meetings from the regular season, winning by 20 and 17 points. In the Austin meeting, the Sooners were held to a dismal 46 points. In 40 minutes of basketball!
Oklahoma has now won two straight after a hellacious eight-game losing streak down the stretch. If they can pull off an upset against Texas, it'll be one of the biggest of the season so far. But anything can happen in rivalry basketball, and anything can happen in March.
For more on this game, Oklahoma fans should join Crimson And Cream Machine, and Baylor fans should stop by SB Nation Dallas.
